depends on condition of cables, bearings, brake pads, etc., but if it's nearly ready to ride $100. It was not a top of the line bike in its day.

It's in excellent condition, so if it's read to ride, $150.

BTW, that ad is in violation of cl rules-- they can't just fish for best offer-- and in some towns, it would be quickly flagged. You might want to email the seller while it's still up.
How do you mean?
I have emailed the seller.

It's against C rules to place an ad that says "Best offer," or anything that fishes for an offer. A CL ad is required to state the price. Technically, that "$1" in the ad is the price. of course, we know the seller won't sell the bike for $1, so the $1 price listed is a come-on. Since the seller isn't really going to sell that bike for $1, the ad should state what the real price is-- and "best offer" doesn't qualify as the real price. Usually, ads like that get flagged very quickly by the CL community. Once it gets flagged, it gets removed.
If it's your ad, you need to put a price on it, before it gets flagged. If you want to buy that bike, you'd better contact the seller, before the ad gets flagged.

Even thoug it is a very nice looking older 70's bike, in my opinion I don't think it is worth more than $75, tops. You can find a nicer used japanese made road bike in my area for around $100 or so.

Even at $150, it would only last a day or two at most.
Flagged it. If seller wants an auction, he needs to use ebay. Craigs List is for fixed price deals only.
