Beautiful day today for the Daffodil Classic Century, in a valley about 30 miles west of Mt. Rainier National Park. Pretty good event, I did it last year, too.
This year I cut 40 minutes off my time. I didn't feel that slow last year, and I didn't feel that fast today. I guess 5,500+ miles of riding in the past 12 months have paid off...
(Edit: I went back and double checked my time against what I posted a year ago. It turns out I was only 12 or 13 minutes faster than last year for "riding time," about 45 minutes faster in "total time," including breaks. So I'm not that much faster, just spent less time hanging around at rest stops).
Note the clouds over Mt. Rainier:

These are "lenticular" clouds.

Obligatory bike shot:

Clouds were gone by time the ride was over - I took this while putting my bike in the car...

I guess this should be next, but not on my to do list right now...
