I have only been Mountain biking for about a year and i wanna get a new bike. Right now I have a Giant boulder se. I need some advice on what bike i should get next, I was looking at the Speacalized hard rock comp i can spend around $500

Wait until you can spend more, the difference is extremely insignificant, especially for a rider who has only been riding a year. I would wait until you can hit into the $800-$1200 range myself, and your skills progress to where you are better able to take advantage of better components. The Hardrock is Specialized's base model line, which is in the same category as your Boulder. Also, if you are doing XC riding/racing, the Hardrocks are a poor choice because of their weight and geometry... they utilize more aggressive angles and don't climb as well as an XC bike can.

I will have to wait a long time until i can spend 800-1200. The other bike i was looking at was the giant warp ds 2.
