I have 4 mysterious bruises on my thigh. I don't remember hitting them on anything. Anyone out there ever had this?
yeah, but it was on my honeymoon :)

I never bruise, even after getting hit really, really hard, just tough skin I guess, but the other day I had exactly that, a small circualr bruise on the top of my right thigh. I didn't hit it, but I had just upped my daily milage, don't know if that caused it, but I am just as stumped as you are.

has anyone figured these out? i have them on both of my calves, and i didn't hit or bump into anything. verrrry mysterious.
edit: actually i finally found something. it says that vigorous exercise can cause tiny tears in blood vessels, which makes a bruise. but so far i can only find one page that mentions it. i guess it's (kind of) normal? i hope.

Yes, I had them all over when I first started to bike commute daily. For about 3 months I was trying to figure it out. I realized I was taking so much ibuprofen for a health condition, it was acting as a blood thinner. I went on an ibuprofen diet and within a month I went down to maybe 2 mysterious brusies a month. I think it was a combination of getting tougher and taking less ibuprofen that did it.
Plenty of medications besides aspirin and ibuprofen can act as blood thinners.
