Good luck Bill. You show sincerity by not pretending to also be a girl. Let us know how you fare.

I'd rather go with a girl. Potential for a much more sophisticated and long-lasting relationship. Maybe Bill looks like Russell Crowe and has the purported morals of a Mel Gibson? Non-Australian women go crazy for that accent! I guess Australian women do too. I'm one quarter Australian - maternal grandmother emigrated from Perth in 1906.

That is so wrong  ... and so right at the same time :innocent: ... you owe me a new computer. You know one without coffee stains all over it.
I don't tour with my dog though.

Personally I find women, particularly young women, to be great touring partners. I did the TA with my daughter and a friend of hers from college and they were great to travel with. Unlike is often the case traveling with guys there was no need to put up with a lot of macho b.s. The problem is that it isn't possible to advertise for this without everyone assuming less than honorable intentions. Given that, I either travel with someone I know or alone.
Nice try dude.
I recall a post quite a while back about a bike tourist who had to fight off the women so bad it was a significant concern of his...:thumb: I don't recall the thread, but at the time I figured I must really be doing something wrong!

I remember that he got a lot of responses wondering how he had the time for this! They don't make threads like the used to.
Maybe we need a bikeforums personals subforum. (Or is that what Foo is for? :D )
:cry:It's not fair! If Soulfullspirit gets one, I get one too!

Why female? ... aside from the obvious reasons of course.
I think there are more male cyclists who go on long tours than female ... you'd probably have better luck looking for a male, if it is just companionship you're after.
That was a classic.
Was it deleted? I remember the cartoon. It was very amusing.

Oh, 'fess up. We all know the real reason you want to tour with a woman. And I think it's pathetic. A guy should know how to cook and do his own laundry. :)

Touring alone is a much deeper journey. There's nowhere to hide. When you meet a fellow traveller, you're on equal terms.
Aren't we all. Good luck with that one.

Oh, man, that's wrong. Not funny at all. Excuse me while I clean this coffee off my monitor.
Touring with a gal that I wasn't related to or hadn't known for quite some time, well... I think I'd go credit card touring.

I sense a marketing niche for Bicycle Escorts. Have you tried craigslist?
