Who knows what the deal is with this? I paid my money and signed up very shortly after the details were published, and have been working on converting one of my Downtubes to drop bars (not just for this; it was just the impetus to do what I wanted to do anyway). Recently, however, I got an email telling me to "expect more information soon, including notification of whether you have been selected to compete". Now, I've paid my money already, and there was no mention of selection, so I assumed it was first come first served. I do NOT expect to be told I'm not entered, or rather, I do a little, but it won't please me. In fact, if that's what happens, it'll put me off having anything to do with the event again. It's now been several weeks since that email, but I've heard nothing

I got the same, posted about it in the original Nocturne thread. I agree, badly worded. Last year, they didn't send the info out until entries had closed, if memory serves. Feel free to (politely) vent at Face Partnership, they shouldn't be implying they'll take your money then reserve judgement on letting you in. I will probably do so myself. Alternatively, channel that anger into outrunning hordes of Brommies in a few weeks :)
