Have any of you NYC area people ever ridden bike route 17? I've seen the signs for it in Newburgh and then also near Sidney, NY. I am planning a two day ride from NYC to Sidney so that would be a reasonable route but my recollection is that 17 is pretty heavily trafficed. Am I wrong? If someone has experience with this route please let me know.
