Northern California - Diablo Century This Sunday: Roll Call

The first running of the Diablo Century is this Sunday and starts in Walnut Creek.

I decided I can't pass up a Century that starts just 8 miles from my front door.

I would be happy to ride with you, heck this is my back yard. I couldn't get lost on this route if you blindfolded me and spun me around 3 times. You might get sick of my tour guide anecdotes so just let me know. :rolleyes:

The event web site lists a 6:30 -8:00 AM start window.

I am good with 6:30 if ya'll want to get a real early start. Later is cool too.
Just let me know.

Check in starts at 6:15. I am hoping to be there checking in by 6:20.

Incidentally, do I need to leave myself more than an hour coming from San Jose? Getting up at 5am is going to be tough enough -- I'm more used to seeing sunrises from the other side.

When other riders get to the first rest stop there will be no worms, 'cause us early birds will get 'em all.

jhmiller: San Jose to the event on a Sunday Morning, will be a piece of cake. 45 minutes might even be possible. Don't sweat that.
