What would you consider the best bike frame for under 1,000 bucks? Preferences...
full suspension
Agressive XC
Only small drops
Just as much up hill as down
Not so smooth style
And lots of roots and rocks.
disk mounts
good looking design
Not too heavy, im not a weight weinie, but I dont need a tank either.
Available for frame only sale.

Im currently on a Giant NRS, and its getting a bit old. Probably wont replace it yet, but I got myself looking at frames anyway.

Ive read great things about the turner 5spot. Also a specialized enduro might fit your needs. Might wanna test ride one of those.

Unfortunately, a Turner will cost more than a $1,000 unless used.

Personally I WOULD consider used as an option.

For what you've described, I would recommend a USED Intense Spyder VPP! A Santa Cruz Blur would rank up there. The Turner, and throw in the Ellsworth Truth for good measure. Don't rule out Titus.

Throw in a Specialized Epic for my vote in the production frame category.

Not a big fan of Trek, so the Fuel for me doesn't cut it.

Same thing for Gary Fisher, but the Sugar does get good reviews. I personally don't feel right on Genesis Geometry that they embrace.

yea I keep looking at the blur, but 1500 bucks for a frame... Ill look into the intense. I agree with you on the trek, never been a fan, and as for specialized I havnt found too many frame only sales.
