CBR has a posting about bike racing being held at Solider Field. Does anyone have inside information on this?

First I've heard of it.

Sorry about the double post! :p

I guess the title didn't jump out at me. Soldier Field? So?

Just think ... race on Saturday, Sunday, Monday off, Tuesday is track in Kenosha, Wednesday is Soldier Field, Thursday is track at Northbrook, Friday off (fish fry?), then back to Sat and Sun again. Then there is a week in June and two weeks in July when you're racing every day anyway.

It's just like being in Europe (complete with guys cheering in Spanish and Polish! :D )

I don't know nothing. nothing. But the crit will be in the parking lot I practice my sprints/jumps. Not an ideal place...but hey whatever, I don't need to drive to get there.

Oh, it's "not ideal" because its a parking lot, not because its messed up or dangerous.

so this race is in a giant, flat parking lot? that sounds great...

yeah, but that's not even the worst part. i'm sure if i lived closer, i would still probably go, but obviously there's no way i'd drive a couple hours to race in a parking lot.

That I can understand.
For me for example, who works in downtown Chicago a stone throw away from Soldier Field, this is the biggest news since the invention of the wheel or somewhat close to that. ;)
I get off work, ride my steed for 10 min. to the race for warmup and I can leave all the work stress behind on the parking lot.

I drove 2 hours 2 days in a row to race in one of your industrial parks.....just saying... ;)

The website is up. 20$/race. 100$ for all 6 races. Too bad I'm in Germany on July 1st so I can't make it that day, but I'm there for all the other 5 Wednesday nighters. Flat races suit me since I don't have to lug my weight up the hill, heh.
