It’s starting to get hot here and it’s only going to get hotter for the next 4 months. So with my personal hygiene in mind (screw my coworkers) I walked over to the company health club yesterday and checked out the showers and locker rooms. It’s pretty nice. They provide all the toiletries. All I have to do is bring a towel. Who knew? All the lockers are booked but they have large day lockers that I can use if I bring my own lock and take everything home at night. This is all for 7.50 a month and a 5 min walk from my desk. Needless to say I stuck a crow bar in my wallet and joined today. Why the hell didn’t I do this before? I noticed the same two bikes outside the club yesterday and today and a jersey hanging up to dry in the locker room. So there are at least two other bike geeks in the area. So tomorrow I will ride in and take a luxurious shower. Change into my work clothes without sitting on a toilet in a stall and not have to cram my backpack under my desk. I feel like Donald Trump. Can use of the company jet be far behind?

Gawd, I looked in the locker room shower at work the other day. I'd need hip waders before I went in there and a penicillin shot after coming out.
I'll stick with baby wipes in the handicap stall.

Your subject asks about shower shoes, but your post never does so I am not sure if you meant to ask. I just buy flip flops at Walgreens, KMart, whatever, for $1.99 or $2.99.
So with my personal hygiene in mind (screw my coworkers)...
Uhh... it's nice of you to take care of your personal hygiene when you uhh... have your way with your coworkers... not that I needed this piece of information... :D
I wear my normal Merrell sports sandals when using public showers. Haven't bothered to buy special shower flip-flops.

i forgot to buy shower shoes and had to shower in bare feet. The horror! It was luxuriously nice to take a show after my ride this morning. the subject line was my lame attempt at humor. this board is not too bad about it but a lot of boards are all about gear. "what to buy? Is this better than that?" that kind of stuff.
Um, maybe your LBS has some ergonomic kevlar/gel/coolmax flip flops with indexed flopping action and hollow straps to save weight. I wouldn't use anything else.
