I am looking for an inexpensive, functional, WATER-RESISTANT cyclo-computer.
I see that this is the simplest model, able to show current + max speed, distances, and a clock.
That's really just what I need.
Oh, and the cable better not snap off that quickly. I saw this happening to some people. Yes, their forks are rigid.
Is this a good buy? And is it water-resistant?

Go for a basic Sigma, they are more robust.

I can't compare them to the Sigmas as I've never owned one of those but I've had 3 of the Velo 5's on various bikes for several years. They've been used in all weathers, never had any trouble with any of them.

My Velo's have been water proof, but water has gotten between the unit and the mount and shorted the pickup...no readings till it dried out.
