Lots of users avatars seem to be missing in action (including mine)?

We're having some server issues, apparently. Tech is currently looking into these issues already, and hopefuly will have everything back on stream shortly.

I re-uploaded my avatar and it's there now.

OK, those of you that lost your avatars, the simplest solution is going to be to upload the file again. What happened was the database crashed in the middle of an upgrade and the files were simply lost in the crash.

Mine was stubborn and survived the server tribal council...still, don't I have about 75 million pictures related to Rollfasts, Schwinns and Western Flyers?

Have you tried finding it on GOOGLE? I have seen other person avatars from other groups there?

^^^^found it this morning on the home puter. i went through half of the wifes 1 billion pics to locate it. that is my blog, its linked in my sig, but maybe you have sigs turned off. later.

Still not working. Tried it about 20 times since reading this post. No luck.

That's not it. But I do prefer your new avatar to the old one. It's a lot easier to see the Cheshire cat. What's the story behind your choice of avatar?

It's not just finding the avatar. It's remembering how to put it in its place.

I’m having trouble with my profile picture (aka Avatar). About a week ago the picture I had had for a couple of years just disappeared. I’ve tried, using the user control panel (UCP), to upload a new one. According to the UCP, I now have a “jpg” image loaded but it doesn’t show when I post. Any ideas?

Mine has apparently completed it's special purpose here in this lower spiritual realm and deliberately buggered off/skarkered back to the higher spiritual realm from whence it came. Or it just gave up.

Why, I'm not sure, Botto, but then again if I explain perhaps this thread will have to be moved to P&R?:eek::lol:

My theory is that the database noticed that gasoline prices dropped nationwide at an average of seven cents per gallon and promptly took that vacation it had been delaying.

Then again they may have sworn off consumerism and decided to leave the server space for the benefit of others.

I believe I have seen it and it seems somebody in Holly's thread says one of her regulars is missing theirs.
