Today was a great day for riding. Three of us started out at the scenic lookout before you get into Port Angeles next to the French restaurant "Cest si Bon".
A little windy but the sun was shining and good company all around. We were just trying to get in a ride before the Rhody Ride in Port Townsend this weekend.
We rode to the Seven cedar Casino on the Olympic Discovery Trail. The trail now goes through Sequim bay State Park and follows Sequim Bay. It is nicely paved and the scenery is just unbelievable. There are some hairpin curves through the park and I would expect when the camping season starts you would have to be more careful.
On the way back coming into Sequim we encountered one heck of a head wind so we decided to stop at the Oak Table for lunch.
Good times and pretty good conditions except for the wind.
If you haven't ridden the Discovery Trail you are missing out. You can start at Ediz Hook in Port Angeles and now ride all the way to the Seven Cedars Casino. For the most part you are the only one on the trail.
So a beautiful metric century with no cars keep it in mind.
