Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Wow! I'd read your story, but that bike really deserves the photo!
Congratulations.
Are the stoker bars in position in that picture? Are they wide enough to accommodate captain's um, seat?
Have you ridden it yet? It looks amazing...

What an amazing tandem. I think this calls for a tandem and wheelsuckers ride :)

Nice. I saw pics of one from the Handmade Bicycle Show. That's one unique bike!
I can honestly say I've never seen a bike like that, single or tandem. Amazing!

We've had it out for two rides. It's great! I was never able to get down behind Thom on the Santana without feeling like I was all scrunched up. This is sized exactly like my road bike and with drop bars I've got lots of hand positions. Thom says he has plenty of room.
At the end of our second ride, the fork buckled. It was too thin for the stress of the disc brakes. So the builder has speced out a carbon fork for us. We should have it in a few weeks.
We don't know how it climbs yet because we had been staying local and breaking in the brakes and the Rohloff hub. The hub is noisy for the first 600 miles. But if you are in the wrong gear, you can stop pedaling and get in the right gear. That's very cool.

Wow! What an amazing-looking bike!
I can't wait to see it in person. The attention to detail is fantastic. And the color? *jaw drops* yeah.

Do you guys worry about the rear hub at all? Is it rated for tandems?
Congrats on the new tandem. Beautiful.
Saw his work at the bike show but this is mind-blowing. I hope all the innovations work out well for you, or at least (like the fork) none of them fail in a bad way. That BB in particular is a stunner.
