Me and two friends are from england and in a couple of months we're getting some flights to istanbul, Turkey and cycling back to england. We've all got fairly desent bikes and are getting some panniers for all our kit and stuff but we've no real experience in this kind of distance - has anyone got any major pointers or tips they can give us? This to look out for, or prepare for? essential kit? etc

Get in long rides now, to get yourselves fit and get used to your bikes.

The touring section might be more help.

How much experience do you have?

erm, not that much experience of lond distance cycling. But we all ride bikes for fun quite a bit are are confident cyclists and use to our bikes, etc.
