What kind of frame geometry changes would you make to a women's specific frame? Other than maybe a sloping top tube is there much else that should be paid specific attention to?

Women are pretty much like men in that they are all different. The big manufacturers try to make bikes geared towards women generally with shorter top tubes. All this means is a lot of women are better off buying a regular bike.

I don't see why a sloping top tube should be female specific. That being said, Unterhausen is right. Everyone is different, and everyone's anatomy needs to be taken into account. I recently made a frame for my wife and it was a struggle to make it with not toe/front tire overlap....a problem she has with almost every bike she has owned. But it's not because she's a woman, it's because she's 5'1". In the end, I used a little extra rake on the fork, plus 26" wheels and it gave her plenty of toe clearance.

It's why some Terry bikes have 24" front wheels.
