Professional Cycling For the Fans - Liege-Bastogne-Liege

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Who's your favorite?
Rebellin looked top-notch in Fleche Wallone. Schleck I don't think has the kick that he needs. Cadel could pull it out if he doesn't go too early again. Sammy Sanchez has shown himself to be dangerous in these things.
Wish I could watch it, but I'll be at a race myself.

i'm hoping for Gilbert.
Is there a good linky for the team line-ups?
Speaking of team line-ups, it could be argued that a GT is won by the strongest team. How important are teams in the Classics?

Haussler? Maybe the last big noise he makes for a few months.

Is Frank back? I thought he had been sidelined for LBL. I think Rebbelin would be a sweet win.

TIVO or DVR can fix that problem

I hoping Rebbelin will get it too!

Cunego...had a good race last week and is coming into form.
I will be interested to see how Basso does. He won Trentino yesterday, and flew in to race today.

Good morning BF nation,
Does anyone have a working link to streaming video of the race. I've tried all the links on cyclingfans.con and none work for me.
Many thanks in advance,
LesMcLuffAlot
Gesink and Kroon will also be people to reckon with. Interesting that nobody mentions Valverde

We are celebrating in Luxembourg tonight - way to go Andy :thumb:
My only issue is I was out riding and my Sky box (think Tivo in europe) didn't work - damn ... gotta wait until they replay it tomorrow afternoon to try a recording.
Bet if Andy faded Frank was ready for a go ... seemed he was up for this despite the crash

oh Andy what a break! And Rebellin's had quite the classics season. Poor Gilbert getting his doors blown off on home soil, ugh. General question: what/whose flags were those with the horizontal blue and white strips with the red lion. Is that a Luxo flag or is it Breton? cheers.

Flag of Luxembourg.

Flag of Luxembourg.
Actually it isn't the offical flag - the Lux flag looks more like the Flag of the Netherlands with a lighter shade of blue - a tri-color with horizontal red, white and pale blue stripes (Holland has same colors as France but on a horizontal plane).

The flag you see is the "popular flag" - it is based on the Duke's coat of arms. There is still a movement afoot (Initiativ Roude Léiw) to change the offical flag. There are actually now versions of the Tri-Color that include the Red Lion ... a compromise type of model.
I love the Roude Léiw myself. Actually have an old Lux national cycling team jersey in that pattern.
