I checked out some women's bike seats and I still don't have a new one. My original seat is a Viscount seat, which is soft, but I get numb after riding for a very short time. Again, I only want to ride for pleasure an exercise. I'm not going to ride standing up. I would like to ride 30-45 minutes a day.

1. Is the "Chubby Cheek" Bike Seat something to consider?

2. Does the dip in the genital area truly make a difference?

Thanks!

My wife swears by her Selle Itallia Womens.

I use a Fiz: ik Aliante'. Lot's of people swear by the Terry Butterfly. It's just a matter of personal preference, you'll have to experiment a lot.

BTW-when I started, it was just "30-45 minutes for fitness" as well. You'll become addicted, so go ahead and invest in a good seat and shorts.

I bought a Serfas RX womens saddle for my hybrid/road bike. Very comfortable and fits well...check out www.serfas.com

For your style of riding, there are several choices-road bike, hybrid, and comfort saddle (with a little spring for a more upright rider).

Does your bike fit? I was having saddle problems and couldn't figure out why. Finally, I had a Serrota bike fit and found out my handlebars were 4cm too low. Raised the handlebars and saddle problems disappeared.
Btw, my new love is the WTB Speed She.
Good luck

I like the Milano saddle, which I think is a men's saddle, but out of several I tried I like this one best. The shorts also make a difference. I have 1 pair of shorts that seem to pinch no matter what, yet my others are very comfortable. Are you working with an LBS to find the right one, or are you trying them on your own? If you're not working with an LBS try to find a good one that will let you experiement. Mine did that & didn't charge me for any of the saddles I tried until I went in 1 day & said I was keeping the Milano.
