Trek 420 Bicycle - $100 (Newport Beach)

Trek 420 classic touring bike. Double-butted steel frame, 18-speed NON-indexed gears. Rack, fenders and bottle cage included. Some scratches on frame, but no rust or dents. Frame size 21" (center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube.) Top tube 21".

It's worth at least double the price and probably three to four times that.

I bought it. I e-mailed the seller and he called me right away. Only about 4 miles from me. A nice guy who has started commuting on a recumbent.

The frame has a few nicks that have been gone over with touch up paint, plain gray on metallic but otherwise it's one of the cleaner used bikes I have ever bought.
The front and rear brakes are reversed because the guy is British. The first thing I will change.

It rides really nice. I will do some cleaning tomorrow and re-wrap the bar tape to make it neater.
