Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I put air in my tires yesterday and got no little spirt of fluid so I went to put more in.the back tire did fine,it pumped right back up.the front tire did not.I did as the instructions said, retried, cleaned the tire, rim strip, rim(to try to make the setup as if it had never been done thinking maybe its the dried goo keeping it from sealing) and still no fix.after 3 hours last night I gave up.I tried today for 2 hours(wife is pissed I used all her dish soap) and finally gave up and removed the valve on a tube ,squirted in some solution and installed it on the bike,so I am running a tube on the front and notube on the back.seems to be working just fine.has anyone used the solution as a slime substitute before and if so what results did you get?.I went tubeless because the DS-2 rims I have are a REAL PAIN to fix a flat even with a quickstick lever.the juice was dried out in the tire, and I run the same tire (trailblasters) on front and rear.I have no clue as to why it wont seat ARGH.I am a real fan of the notubes but wont waste $10 each time I need to refill(used the rest of my bottle to no avail.any help, input, flames etc.will be very welcome.thanks.before notubes avg.1 flat a week, since notubes(feb)NO flats, even ran over a briar that I could hear the air pop and yet it had stopped in less than 1/10 of a mile.thanks again.oh yeah my ERGOGRIPS should be here any minute.bar ends have made a huge difference in my fatigue rate and these are supposed to be more comfortable on the hands, will let yall know..thanks again
