Have had this for a year or so, in the barn, waiting to clean it up and remove the primer paint someone put on it at some point. After starting I thought that it looked kind of Mad Max so left a lot of the primer on. Put the racks on, bags on the racks, cleaned all the bearings(but not the Front Freewheel, that just got the old oil soak:o)and then never rode it cause man, its not cool. :lol: Ironicaly I live in a town that I never have to lock up my nice bikes, but this one gets locked up. mostly because I've been using it to deliver eggs:thumb: The bike was free, the racks, tires tubes and such were all takeoffs, the rear pannier bags were .50 cents at a flea market, and the subway bag/cooler was free. The cooler is neat, it will hold two water bottles, a slushy and a anti dog hot sauce mixture.
finaly took it out a few weeks ago, and have not ridden anything else since. This thing rides like an old plymouth. kind of shifts like one as well, rock solid, but with a certain slow inevitability. Even grinding up a steep hill it will downshift. I live in a really hilly area, 5 miles from town on flinty dirt and chipseal. so far so good. Anyway, I really love this bike, even though no one I ride with wants to be seen near it. They all thought my touring bikes were bad enough, but this is over the top!
