Usual 42 mile ride but Mad_One showed rode with usfor the first time in about 6 months. Ran into a few membes at the coast for some laughs then headed back. Alex and his son headed outa bout a minute ahead of us with a tailwind. I thought we'd catch them very early but they were hauling as the young boy is improving bigtime. He does get a little help from Dad ow and then.:D

I realized we weren't catching them so we picked it up the pace and finally caught them after 6 miles of our remaing 12 miles. Once we did Alex picked up the pace. I thinkg Gina and Mad_One had to use some effort to keep up as Alex is a very strong rider. Pushing his son, he was able to amintain 20-21 mph.

It took some big sprints to get ahead for some shots . Then to catch back up, I was working hard too!:D

The comments below referring to the Roving Photographer, there is a small magazine where a photographer takes pics at res stops on organized rides. I'm just kidding cause mine are action shots and his all posing at the stops. Hahaha!

Mad_One and Gina. Still smiling before they realized we had to pick up the pace to catch Alex and his son!

Nice pictures! I have secretly been enjoying your posts for the last few weeks. I have been going back into the forums and seeing some of your older posts are no longer showing the pictures. I guess you take so many that there simply isn't enough room for all of them anymore! :D

The pics are from a thread I have in the Southern California sub forum titled somehting like "SART 2009 Journal and other rides".

I frequent a trail Santa Ana River Trail (SART) and have made manyh friends there. I take pic so f them and post in the thread wevery week. This year I included rides in the mtns where as last 2 years, it was all on the trail. It's fun as I am recognized with plenty of the cycling population because of the pics.

I have had riders ride by and say "Beeeeeanz" as they ride by. If I have a flat, riders will ride by and ask "got everything you neeed Mr. Beanz?". Riders I don't know! Funny cause I stareted riding in other areas and get shouts along those rides too!:D

If you are bored and like pics, check it out in the souther California forum.:thumb:

BTW, every so often I will go thru and delete pics form my online album. Mostly at the end of the year or those that I didn't post in the SART thread. But I keep those that are precious to me!:D

Everyone looks bundled up. I thought I heard there was a heat wave in your parts? Maybe it's the wrong parts. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Apparently, in that last pic, they didn't consult with you when they wrote "slow steep grade". They must be referring to one coming up.

Yup, coming up inthe other direction. You can see Mad_One is standing on the back. They had just come up the steep underpass.

It had been 97 degrees for 3 or 4 days then 65 the next 3 or 4. Weird!:D
