so i kinda wanna bid on this because it's so friggin' hot, but really i think i'd be better suited with a shimano group with a triple. i'm really tall though and ebay doesn't hit me with big bikes too often.

is it ever gorgeous though, and bidding is in a fair range so far.

what do you think is a good price?

the bidding is at $610 right now with a day left. i'll bet it'll jump up near $1000 if not over.

any feel for when you'd give up?

i wouldn't want to pay more than $800 for it, it's 8 speed, and mirage. it's in pretty good condition though, from what the description says...but, anything more than $800 and you'd be better off finding something newer.

This is a HUGE bike... How tall are you 6'5"?

yeah, i'm 6' 4.5"

this is part of the reason i'm considering a classic older bike - i had just been swayed toward getting a Fuji Roubaix Pro (I want a nice affordable steel frame with 105 or better) but it turns out they only make it up to 61cm, even though the Roubaix and the Team are both avail up to 64.

bishes.

i'm honestly torn though because new steel frames seem way nicer and less heavy- and i'd def rather have a new 105 group over some older low-end campy group.

it's anaolgous to spending $16k on a new honda civic or spending the same money on a well kept '69 Camaro SS.

anybody have any feelings about which would be the nicer ride? (between the two bikes I mean, not the two cars)

plus I still have to _find a 63 or 64cm new steel bike at that $850 to $1000 price - so bummed about the Roubaix Pro - a Fuji 64 fits me perfectly...
