I'm looking to either buy locally (in Vancouver, BC, Canada) or via internet, a 59T chainring that would fit my 2006 Dahon Helios. (http://www.bikeforums.net/showpost.php?p=8803841&postcount=3)

Suggestions?

Loose Screws has 58t and 60t rings, but I don't know about 59t. I presume you need to have the exact number to get a fixed-gear setup with vertical dropouts and no chain-tension adjustment. What's the bolt circle size on your Dahon?

Yes, the 59T x 16T is a magic gear ratio for the vertical dropouts. I do have a Surly Singleator chain tensioner if I need to do 60T.

I need to measure the BCD (stupid me to forgot to measure last night).

Got the wife to measure it while I'm at work. It's 130mm BCD. After more measuring, its not going to work since a 59T would rub against the chainstay. Back to the drawing board.

What about using an eccentric bottom bracket shell such as trickstuff?
They look good except for price tag.. :[
