Pacific Northwest - Worthy Issues Ride - 7pm Friday May 8th

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Note: The date and time of this ride has changed - it is now on May 15th, NOT May 8th.

There are dozens of worthy issues in Portland, many having nothing to do with bikes, but all are important, affecting the very fabric of our society, life on Earth, or civilization as we know it. Come learn about them, or come and share your own with others!

The Worthy Issues Ride - Friday, May 15th at 6:30pm. Meet at the Vera Katz statue on the Eastbank Esplanade.

Immigration, global warming, corporate monopolies, criminalization of the homeless, the "Nanny State", police brutality, old-growth forests, jobs vs. the environment, peak oil, freedom of expression, big brother, nuclear power.

Got an issue? Bring it with you - bring some flyers, bring some business cards. In the spirit of anti-corporatism, at the end of the ride we'll vote on a local brew-pub to visit to continue the discussions that may ensue.

Come share your issue, or come find one to fight for or against - hope to see you on May 15th!

I had to change the date of the Worthy Issues Ride so as not to conflict with a bike move - it is now on May 15th (Friday) at 6:30pm - still meeting at the Vera Katz statue on the Eastbank Esplanade.
