Hey guys
I got a Miyata 912 with a Turbo saddle, and it's been reasonably great so far. I've now done about 400 miles on it, with a little numbness after 30 miles or so.
I've recently tried tilting the saddle forward two clicks, and with only half a mile, I can say I'm definitely not sitting on the soft tissue (not sure how PG these posts are sposed to be). I'm sitting more on my sit bones as I understand I should be, and it's much better in the drops. However, there's no way I'd be able to ride no hands at such angle, I'd slide off or sit on the softest of tissues.
Question is, how much do you guys worry about that? It's nice to be able to sit up and move my back and my neck around every so often, but obviously most of the time on the bars, riding along. I'll be riding 10-15 miles a night this week, and 100 this weekend (Austin TX to Shiner, if anyone's done it before). I'll definitely be taking the wrench with me, and hope for the best, but I think this is a sign I should get the Imperial I've been oogling.
