The first three photos is 2 years ago at my sons b-day party. It is date stamped for confirmation and the other is tonight with the same shirt on exactly 100lbs lighter!!! The other photo is a pic of todays ride!!

100lbs ago I could not walk a mile and my back hurt to go to the grocery store and push the cart around. Today I rode 20 miles and and yesterday I walked 3 miles then rode 8 more. I can not explain how much better I feel and I hope this inspires someone else to make a change in there life!

Congrats on your BIG accomplishment.

It won't be long, and you will have to remove the BIG from your moniker!

Next up, will be permanent banishment from the Clydesdale side of the forum.....

You should be proud!

good work brother. I now what it feels like to loose 100lbs. You loose a person and feel like a new person at the same time. Great feeling.
The way i lost it was pretty extreme. I ate nothing but raw fruits and vegetables and the 100lbs flew off in about 3-5 months without exercising. Can't remember how long it took but it was crazy fast. I was dropping about 5 lbs a week (not sure how healthy that is) but everything i ate was healthy and i never "cheated." I went from 280 to 180.
Keep up the good work and I hope you reach your goal and ideal weight.

I have One tip i can offer. When dropping so much weight don't buy new outfits or you'll end up giving away clothes you bought a month ago to your friends and it will get expensive. I speak from experience.

I can't help but think that's horrible advice. I went from a size 60 waist to a 46. I'd hate to imagine trying to keep those old pants up now. Part of losing weight is losing a negative self-image, and looking good is part of it.

I got rid of all my fat clothes and replaced them as I went along. The trick to reduce cost is to shop wisely, and include second-hand items.

Yeah, I've gotten some really good clothes at the Salvation Army, and they cost nearly nothing.

as my clothes get to big I have retired them to work clothes which will be destroyed in a mont or two and I am very close to getting into ccothing that I have saved but I will deffinatly try thrift shops.. Down here in FL the thrift shops have tons of stuff right now since nobodu has steady work and they are selling anything!!!

The reason i made this statement is because it was very costly for me as i was loosing and average of 5lbs a week, along with inches.

But like you said shopping second hand would be better. It would have been great for me being that my waist sized shrunk every few weeks.
I have a buddy that goes shopping for clothes at ross/marshals quite a bit. When he finds something he likes and the size is to big he'll take it in to tailor to get it altered and it only cost him a couple of bucks. Its a great idea and if i would have met him earlier i probably would have just have my clothes altered and save a bunch of money.

Is there a thread in this forum that discusses how to deal with the weight flying off and dealing with clothes that have become oversized?

Five pounds a week!? How?

Five pounds a week!? How?

Raw food.

http://www.living-foods.com/faq.html

Its tough to start off but after a few days it gets easier and the weight flys off.
