Hey guys, I'm in a kind of a dilemma. Basically I have managed to bring down my 2.1 tires to pretty much baldness. Anyways, do you think I would get more grip out of my 1.9 tires? This is for cross country riding.
The 1.9 would be coming off of my beater, so probably they were not good tires to begin with. But, at least they have some tread!
(See attached pictures - the first 2 are of my current WTB MotoRaptors 2.1, and the last 2 are from my beater.)

Put a 1.9 rear first, try that.
Grip is rear, steering front. The size diff sounds off but me an' someone do it.
1.95r\2.10f round profile (new xc treads).
Or do both 1.9.

Depends a lot on the kind of riding that you do and the conformation of the trails that you ride. If it was my bike, I think that I'd go for the 1.9s over a set of worn 2.1s for most conditions.

Sell a pint to the blood bank and buy some new tires. Neither set looks particularly happy.
