This year has been wonderful so far! Not a single flat as of yet, and I don't think I've even been harassed once by motorists. I've found some new routes, and they're all way out in the country on back roads, quite a few of them are single lane roads that go over the mountains and such, very nice climbing terrain. I hardly see any traffic anymore, so it's just me and the forest, no stop lights so I can just pedal hard without having my pace interrupted. I've also been to the North Carolina coast and did quite a bit of cycling there, I could taste the salt on my lips after a couple hours of riding in a day, it was pretty cool, and my annual Beech Mountain trip was a blast as usual. Beech Mountain and the entire surrounding area was easier this year than it was last. I just wanted to make a post and give cheers to the greatest sport on earth!
