real quick question, does anybody know the difference between those models? The LBS owner told me the only difference is color, but I've noticed soma small differences. I appreciate any info about it.

If you go here you can see the specs for the '04 OCR 3. Then look at the top of the page and click the link to the '03 archive where you'll find info on the '03 OCR3. It looks like there may have been a couple versions of the '03 OCR 3.

there were two versions of OCRs released in 2003. The earlier version is different, while the "Spring" release use the same frames used in the 2004.

The components are probably different.

Nam, which bike shop in brooklyn did you go to?

The 2004 OCR3 has a composite fork while the 2003 one is either steel or aluminum. The 2004 cassette is SRAM, the 2003 is shimano. I think the new headset's 1.25" and the old one is 1".

slvoid, just sent you a PM before seeing this post. Anyway, I went to bayridge on 3rd Ave and 89st, I paid 2003 model for $425. I didn't even know there are two versions of 2003 OCR3. I check out the Giant website as bradw posted but didn't see much of a difference.

the most distinct thing is the frame - the 2003 had straight chainstays, while the 2003 spring release and 2004 has a curved chainstay. The 2003 spring and 2004 frames also have a 1 and 1/8 inch fork. Although the 2004 has a carbon fork instead of a cromoly fork used in the 2003 models.
