I did a search on Linear recumbents and got many, many threads, vry fe3w of which had anything about the Linear Limo.

Can anyone point me to a direction, besides Bicycleman's site, that has any information about the Linear Limo 3?

Doe anyone here ride a Linear Limo?

I do not have a Limo but an old Linear that is over the seat steering...which the do not make any more. Mine was made in I think Iowa before Bicycleman bought the company so is not the "quality" that is made today... It is a comfortable bike for me and I like the LWB design. I also have a Lightning P-38 which I am trying to sell cause I like the LWB better.
Sorry I did not necessiarilly answer your question... I too have looked for Linear and seems Bicycleman is the main source, or only source.

Bicycleman bought out Linear several years ago so you probably will only be able to buy an newer Linear from him. It was a very popular bike and that is why you see so much about the older models.

I have two LWB Linears, a Kann Body Shop model (the first builder) which probably dates back to the early 1980s and a 1997 Linear made by the last Iowa builder. Both are now USS. The later one has over 5,000 miles on it so I bought the second one for a parts bike in case I ever broke some of the really expensive components (steering and seat parts). I never did, so I still have two complete bikes. They varied a lot in the components. Earlier Linears had a 3 X 7 gear setup and 27 inch rear wheel. The last Iowa models came with a 26" rear wheel and had a 3 speed internal rear hub (SACHS/SRAM) but no front gear changer. If you read Mr. Bicycleman's website they are subjected to frame breakage and a lot of other stuff. Not my experience and not that of several friends who own a variety of LWB and SWB models from many different years. No one has had a problem with his Linear so far. All of us are satisified with the quality of older Linears.

I had both USS and OSS parts with my first one but thought the OSS bars were really fragile. I dumped them for the USS parts within the first month I had it. I paid only $500 for the 1997 Linear in 2001. It certainly was worth every penny. If I were looking for an LWB today, I probably would not consider a new Linear. Just my opinion, but I think that is a lot of money to pay when you could probably get a good used Tour Easy (with OSS) for less.

I don't know if you have ridden the New Linear that Peter (the Bicycle Man) produces, but it is a very nice ride. It's a much refined Linear. He has taken a lot of the modifications others have made to the original and incorporated them into the new design plus added a few of his own. Along the way he has cleaned up the, how should I say this? the clunkyness (please don't flame me too hard) of the original Yes, that might be some of the charm, but trust me the new bike rides very well. Maybe a Tour Easy would be a better choice at the price, but if you wanted a LWB underseat steering bike, the new linear is really worth a look. I've ridden them a couple times and am duly impressed.
The problem is unless you're somewhere in the east, it's not that easy to test ride.
