Northern California - Thank you Annonymous Oakland Cyclist

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I must have dropped my "I.D. kit", probably last Weds night when I did a 42 mile 3 bears loop.

I have been looking for it.

Contents: Expired Driver's license, copy of health insurance card, $5 cash, tire boot, Jamba Juice gift card.
all rubber banded together and usually in my bento box.

It all showed up, even the $5 today in an envelope post marked Oakland. No return address. It was wrapped up in a blank letter sized piece of paper. Not even a note.

Thank you anonymous Oakland cyclist. I am sure glad your kind heart was powering your bike over the bears last Wednesday.

Now that's great! Every once in a while something happens to partially restore my faith in humanity.

It's nice to hear about happy endings from time to time.

Despite what you see in the news about Oakland residents, there are some great people that live there.

Not great. Not heroic. Just the normal thing that any human being is supposed to do in a situation like that.

Good things happen to good people. I'm sure you would have done the same.
