I've got a LaCrosse BC 900 charger, and am going to buy some Eneloops. Can I use my current charger and get the maximum life out of the Eneloops, or do I need to buy there charger to do this? The Sanyo charger looks like the "free" charger that comes with rechargeable batteries, and I've already got one of those I don't use now that I have the LaCrosse.
the charger which has a slower charge rate will be less harmful to the longevity of your eneloops.

The LaCrosse charger works fine with Eneloops. The default setting is the slow charging rate.
that's one of the best chargers you can get (along with lacrosse). Like others said, aim for charging at the lower rates and you are good to go :-

sanyo charger that comes in the eneloop blister pack is an ordinary dumb one. I use a maha 800 on my eneloops and it works awesome.

It says right on the website that a special charger is not required. There would probably be a prominent warning if that was not the case. It must be true because this would be the perfect scam to sell more chargers. Be aware of anyone advertising that there charger is special designed for the new hybrid batteries.
