It is not unusual for a freewheel to have a small amount of free play or side to side movement. How much are we talking, 1mm or 5mm?

Is this a little wobble, one millimeter or a big wobble, five millimeters.

That is a bit much but I have seen freewheels with more play than that. Is it causing a problem or does it just bother you that it wiggles?

Most, if not all, freewheels and freehubs have side to side wobble. If not, it would be a solid piece and unusable.

If the chain is not slipping off the cogs or making a lot of noise, I'd leave it well enough alone. If it becaomes a problem, then it's a simple matter to replace the freewheel with another. Otherwise, just go out and ride.

Noisy freewheels can be a good thing.
