Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am on a team that is developing a new product that will act as a bicycle theft deterrent and will aid in the recovery of stolen bikes. Would you please help to make our vision a reality by checking out this short video and voting for our company. Feel free to ask any questions or give feedback.

The best I can offer is a quiet "ho hum", and that's being generous. Anyone clicking on that link is wasting 1:17 of their life for nothing.

If you have an idea, post it.

I've always thought that a Lo-Jack type system would be ideal. Since Lo-Jack hides their stuff in cars and motorcycles but a bicycle would be hard to do. I'd make a sheetmetal box with the guts, satellite transponder, antennea and a blinking red LED light for deterrent. Mount that sucker to the frame with U-bolts at the headtube and you're done.

Wow is all I can say.

So what is the idea?

After I wasted 1:17 all I know is that your current bike locks worked and Lance Armstrong had his bikes stolen...

That and 70's porn music is making a come back in youtube advertisements...
