Did this somehow not get posted here?

You must look at his blog. There is video of his amazing fall.

Skydiving is so much fun. Glad to see they still make the SAME video years later. :) It even has the same edits. I think every skydiving shop has the same equipment.

Well, I was amazed. I can't imagine doing that. I play a game: How much would you have to pay ME to do it. I'm thinking over $10,000. Even that might not be enough.

On a related note:
DiabloScott: You now qualify for this fine piece of clothing

Let me add, that if you get the chance you should take the few jumps and the test to do a solo jump. Nothing beats the sound of silence after the parachute opens and you're hanging there by yourself.

Not for me, thank you very much. Not even a hot date would get me up there ... and she was pretty hot! Oh well, my loss.

Awesome.

I'd be all over that, and I don't see any reason to wait until I'm 50, either.

I did the bungee jump thing in Vegas at a place next to Circus Circus and one guy with us said it was easier to skydive because you have time to relax and enjoy the fall and silence before you land. Whereas on a bungee jump it's all in your face right then and there.

I had fun doing the bungee jump though, but I doubt I'll do it again! haha!

(and the pool at the bottom of the bungee jump place couldn't save anyone. I doubt it was more than 4 ft deep, if that much!)

Wow! That's pretty thrilling!

You ought to try hang gliding; they launch from Mt. Diablo and fly over to Tracy on a good day. I've tried it and found out I don't need that much excitement to enjoy life. Cgallagh (Mr. RR), OTH, loves him a good flight.

Happy birthday, Scott!

Ha, I figured I couldn't wait any longer! It's just north of Lodi and you don't need reservations or anything, just go; you can watch the other folks do it first to kind of get psyched up.

It was only $100 plus $55 if you want the video guy to come along too. It was about three times as exciting as I was expecting it to be. I can totally see how people get addicted to the rush. The rest of my life seems so boring now ;)

No longer will my drumming skills be wasted on the kitchen counter and dining room table. Probably go pick it out next weekend.

One time, the sky was full of people coming down with colorful parachutes as I was driving up 99. It was a cool sight.

Will you be getting a loincloth and a membership in a Sensitive Mens Drum Circle too? Oh, wait--you said birthday, not midlife crisis--never mind...

I'm getting in touch with my inner Puerto Rican. Those rhythms really speak to me and I want to be able to talk back... ¿sabes?
