If I end up working from home that day, I'll take the unicycle down the hall from the bedroom to the office, does that count? :p

Well, Ride to Work Day inspired me to practice more with my unicycle. :thumb:

I don't work, well, stay-at-home dad is all work. But my wife worked from home today so I was able to escape for a while this morning and put in a fast (for me) 41 mile ride. Does that count?

Tailwind really helped.

Yeah ... that tailwind is a headwind for me every time I ride home :notamused:

DAmn I haven't been part of this in a while ... like Ron, my schedule excludes me from joining in the festivities. Last time I did this was in 2004. :(

This made me chuckle. Here's my Garmin output for today:

http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/chart/get.mb?xy.domain=totalDistance&xy.ranges=elevation&xy.ranges=grade&xy.histogram=false&xy.legendVisible=false&xy.primaryRangeAxisVisible=true&xy.secondaryRangeAxisVisible=true&xy.rangeTitlesVisible=true&xy.domainAxisVisible=true&xy.plotForegroundOpacity=0.75&episodePk.pkValue=8224049&xy.plotForegroundOpacity=0.75&xy.autoFit=true&xy.width=1000&xy.height=450

Can you spot when I was on BART? (Honest, I turned it off!)

Anyone know how to get motionbased to chop this into laps (edit: I think I need to hit reset between each segment - worked that out)? Also can I smooth away that crazy 35-40% spike that throws out the scaling for grade?

Here's my wiggly squiggly route home. 32 fun rolling twisting turning miles:

I get it on the way out to Los Altos Hills or where ever I'm off to. It was quite bad yesterday and I purposely was saving my R600DuraAce pace for the return trip.

It's been bike to work month here in Sac and so far I have totalled 329 after rolling in 16 miles to work this morning. I should have known something was up yesterday when I was pedalling down Freeport Blvd and passed a guy flying on a 700c hybrid in full business attire with no helmet. He caught me at the light and held on to my wheel for a couple of blocks but his desperate gasps for air and the flapping of his slacks in the wind was a bit unnerving so I put my hands in the drops and turned it up just a little. Turned around about a mile later and no dude after a long straightaway. Ha! I'm such an ass.
