Of course, you could just install an e-mail client on the server, have a really cool address like "joe@bikeforums.net," not have to worry about all the privacy issues people are wasting their lives debating on slashdot, and have all the storage space that is left over after we finish filling up the SQL tables!

Aren't you worried about this privacy issue you have to give up with the google email? Aren't they tracking your email as you receive it or something like that?

Just asking... don't rant at me if I'm wrong, this is just what I heard from around the way...

Is there an actual need for qmail Joe, or just need a mail server with free space?

What they're doing is essentially matching keywords from your emails with advertisements. Though a lot of people are freakign out, I don't really understand why it's such a big issue - my reading of their terms of service leads me to believe that what they're up to is no more intrusive than are the spam filters on most other providers; I think it's mostly just a media panic.

I don't need the space, or another email acct. I just want to play with googles new toy.

BTW, my Oulook pst file just hit a gig last month...

Does the spam come with that spanky jelly-like substance? or is that extra?

Yahoo just announced that they are upping their email limit to 1000 Kb for free accounts -- and no advertising bots like Google will serve up...

Yahoo is getting 100mb and a facelift. I have Gmail -- I love it. Joe, I had about 15 invites that I gave / sold to people.

Are you serious? I've had yahoo for about four years, and I can't say I've ever had a problem with spam. Do you have the bulk mail account/Spamguard activated?

Since you asked first I will give you the one I have left. Either post your email address or PM it to me and I will send it to you.
