I just talked to Rod the owner of Light Foot Cycles. He is making a new electric recumbent with the same 500 watt motor as the cyclone however it has an external controller. The controller is programable and can run 24 or 36 volts.
I bought my son one of the old cylclones he was making. The World Traveler bike with the electric is by far the nicest electric I have seen or ridden.
I have one of his new bikes in my future I just can't justify the expense right now.
