Which is better, Steel or Aluminum?
Steel is real dude.
But yea I like Alu better. Replaceable der hanger, lighter and more widely available.
Steel on the other hand is a more rigid ride and it vibrates less.

Paper or plastic?
Which is better depends on too many factors for such a simple question.

Neither. They both are perfect in the right conditions.

I like oranges more than I like apples.
ohh but Mangos are best!
I vote for aluminum. It's light and strong. There may be some qualities that steel has above aluminum but if you were to compare the 2 feature by feature I believe aluminum would win.

u cud put the plas tic bag inside the paper one. i do that sometimes. or sometimes i put the paper inside the plastic, so the paper bags can have handles.
so yah i go with aluminum, mostly because I have no need for a steel frame really.

I put my mangos and kiwis in paper bags, my oranges and apples in plastic, then I combine the two in a double plastic.....
Each has it's benefits. There is no better ride than a well made steel hardtail for some XC cruising.
However, to build a lightweigh full suspension bike, aluminum is KING. You can manipulate and weld aluminum into shapes that would weigh a ton in steel.
It all depends on what you like.
I have three steel bikes and two aluminum. I like them all!
