I'm in the market for a new moutain bike. I want something thats not too expensive, because I won't be doing too much with it, but I also want a mongoose, because I hear they are good. The Mongoose GSX 9.0 seems to be a good model for what I'm looking for. If any of you own this model, I would really appreiate any comments or tips about it. Also, if you have suggestions for something along the lines that I am looking, I would be thankful for your suggestions. Thanks :)

Thanks :)First Mongoose hasn't made a decent bike for YEARS so whoever told you that is either lying or doesn't know jack about bikes. The Mongoose GSX 9.0 is absolute garbage, the suspension components are worthless and the drivetrain is the bottom of the barrel. Go to a REAL bike shop and see what you can find for the $400, you will be pleasently surprised.


EDIT I just went to the SA website on sale for $200? How good can it be if they cut the price in HALF and still make a profit? The POS wouldn't last 10 minutes on a moderate trail
