Howdy folks

I just wanted to say hey.
I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and I have learned a lot from the folks at Bike Forums. Every question I had, I found somewhere here. Thanks for asking and answering!
I was big into mtn biking in college but stopped because I kept tacoing rims and couldn't afford it. I told myself I would buy a good bike and start again once I was established in my career. Well, I blinked and its been 15 years.

But here I am. I'm 6'2 and 240, should be 200, but I was 290 a year ago. So I am on my way. I was getting bored at the gym, and I was looking for a way to perk my interest so I would continue my exercise enthusiasm.

I ordered a Rockhopper Comp disc from the LBS this weekend. I bought the frame more than the package. It seems like a very upgradable frame. I figure I can keep it viable for many years to come even if I get other bikes.

So, like I said, thanks for the info!

Hiya! Welcome to the forum. I'm pretty new here myself. I just recently got back into riding (only a couple weeks) used to ride a LOT back in my early 20's; I'm 34 now. I prefer road biking. Congrats on the weight loss. I've lost about the same amount in the past year too; I'm down from about 270 @ 6'. Keep up the good work and, more importantly, have fun!!!
