Can anyone who has pics of a LHT in these sizes please post them? I'd like to see the geometry differences, the numbers on their spec charts just aren't doing it for me. Also, does the LHT have a chain hanger peg brazed on the seat stay?

Yes. My 54cm has one, anyway.

My wife and I rarely get off of our a small island and so of course the one time I couldn't go with her to the mainland to size an LHT for her she chooses the wrong size - crappy sales people!

The first time I saw her new 46 I thought it looked like a kid's bike. And though she's a small person I knew it wouldn't fit. Sure enough, I'm now going to have to get her the 50 before our next tour together in July. That said I'm confident this one will be the right fit.

FYI: She is 5'5" with a 30" floor to crotch inseam, which is 1.5" shorter than mine at 5'11"

Cheers and good luck!

thanks guys, I have a couple vintage tourers, but I'm thinking of getting a pair of LHT for myself and girlfriend, just to keep all of the parts interchangeable. I was having a hard time visualizing the geo with the numbers given on the surly site, but I have a better idea now.

On interchangeability: Just remember that all LHT frames 56cm and above use 700c wheels while everything below 56cm use the 26" wheels.

It looks like I'll be riding the 50(5'6 with ~29 PBH) and she the 42(5'0 with ~26PBH)

we will probably go with the factory completes since they appear to have pretty decent kit, though we will splurge for a few things to personalize(Brooks, bar tape, I think the g/f wants to run mustache bars) and custom powder coat.
