i'm going to be purchasing my "first" tri bike soon. i saw "first" because i do currently have two bikes, but they're both older 80's 10 speeds of not much value, and i'm ready to upgrade. I am leaning towards the dual (i like the yellow too), unless the jamis comet is a smoking deal, however can be persuaded either way. i'm looking at 58cm bikes in both cases.
was directed to a site that has the cervelo dual here:
http://www.competitivecyclist.com/road-bikes/frame/2007-cerv%E9lo-dual-ultegra-complete-bike-1951.html
999 for a new 2007 dual ultegra bike
was also offered this:
2008 Jamis Comet
http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/archives/2008/08_comet_archive.html
on slowtwitch, and was told they could "beat the price of the dual"
please weigh in opinions, i want one bike which i can use both for road training/possible road racing, but have more emphasis on triathlons.
i was also directed to the cervelo p2 sl
http://www.competitivecyclist.com/road-bikes/frame/2007-cerv%E9lo-p2-sl-ultegra-complete-bike-4880.html
but that is starting to get out of my target price range.
opinions? suggestions? lets assume for comparison's sake that either bike fits exactly, and compare simply bike to bike, on an equipment level, not a "get whichever one fits better"
