Southeast - Powder coating in Raleigh/Durham

Any recommendations for a powder coater in the Triangle?

I have heard, but not confirmed that Top Coat out near the airport will powder coat bicycles.

I haven't confirmed this yet, although I am curious if they do and what their prices might be. I haven't quite got my bike(s) to the point where I'm ready to powdercoat, so I haven't fully investigated, but I hope you'll report back on what you find out. I have a couple of frames I'd like to get powder coated at some time this summer.

This guy has all sorts of large and small steel shapes powder coated somewhere in this area. He would probably share the info with you.

I had a frame and fork done by topcoat a few years ago. Cost was about $150. Turnaround time was 2 or 3 weeks, which was longer than they estimated.

i used these guys for my red bike...$150 and turnaround was a couple of days, IIRC.

Yeah, that's a tough call. I have an old bike I piked up for $50. I'd love to powdercoat it, but there's so much more I could do to improve it if I was going to sink another $100+ into it. On the other hand, if it doesn't get a new coat of paint one way or another, it may not last. The metal is already shining through the factory job. Of course the factory job is almost 40 years old, so I guess that's not bad.

Creativecandy.org powdercoats in that price range, has 48-72 hr turnaround and ships nationwide for around $20. Powder coating that $20 bike will make it look like it just came out the box.
