What can I say? This is one to watch. Forrest whitaker as a modern day Assasian, following the Samurai code, with a hiphop back beat. This is not a fast paced kung fu flick, but steady flow with great characters and interaction. I don't want to give away any of the movie, but it is worth the watch (I plan to buy a copy of the DVD) The MadeGuy that is into FlavorFlav, the Haitian icecream vendor and the calm that is Snow Dog.
Edit: I shouldn't post after my bed time. It should be "the calm that is Ghost dog"
Great soundtrack.
Two cool cameos.
1) Nobody from Jarmusch's Dead Man (also a great movie), and
2) RZA from Wu-Tang--also responsible for the aforementioned soundtrack.

I thought the soundtrack blew. The score was great, though.
Wow, I thought I was the only one that liked this movie.

If you enjoyed this movie try "Boondock Saints"

Dead man was better than ghost dog. Dog was OK. Both have similiar themes, the whole nothing left to lose, no fear of death thing. Blake being already dead-- "did you kill the white man that killed you?" Ghost being all tied up in that samurai code of being ready to die at any moment.
As for the soundtrack, neil young's guitar in dead man added so much to the movie that it was the much better movie soundtrack.
Bottom line: if you liked ghost dog then watch the better movie, Dead Man.
