Hi,
I am looking for replacement for my Campagnolo Athena brake pad on my 1990's Bianchi. My rear wheel is 8 speed and brake pad is not the cartridge type. But I will get the cartridge type this time. So I found this on line:
http://www.biketiresdirect.com/pkshdd/kool_stop_campy_cartridge_pad_holder_set/pp.htm

But according their description, this is for 10 speed! So I don't know this is going to fit or not? I would like to get Kool stop but can't find for 8 speed one! anyone know where I can get these? Thanks!

p.s. this is my campy looks like but not a cartridge type brake pad:

I'd like to know this too. Apparently, there is a Kool Stop cartridge style with orbital adjustment, but I don't think they are manufactured any longer. The slots on the Athena are too narrow for modern cartridge posts, so unless you're willing to file the slots, you're out of luck.

Kool Stop Continentals will work, or the old Mathauser style inserts will work with the chrome Record holders, but you won't get orbital adjustment.

I modified a set of Record pads to fit my Athena brakes. Shortened them, cut a slot for the retaining screw.

Nope, unless you want to file the slots. The post (or fixing nut) is too wide.
