A MTB Triple? If so NO you cannot. Most BMX cranks are coupled with a Profile type b.b. spindle. Therefore making MTB cranks incompatible. Not to mention of course the chainline problems you would have. There are tons of BMX cranks out there that can be had.

There are adaptors to support a mtb bb in a bmx shell.

But why? Honestly bmx bb's are a lot stronger as are the cranks (usually).

Its becoming the way it should have been on some boutique ht's and a couple big production ones. BMX bb is the way to go for street bikes and I think for dh too.

OK I get it I thought the question was to put a MTB crank on a BMX BB in a BMX frame. Sorry. Anyway companies like Profile, and Azonic makes a conversion for BMX BB's to work with MTB's.

^how much do the cups cost around?

Azonic has their 454 englsh b.b avaiable to fit 10 spline cro-mo cranks it would be $60. Profile hs their conversion available it would be $70. However Profile is a 48 spline spindle. There are some BMX cranks that can work with a Profile spindle but no MTB cranks that I know of. Also with these conversions you have to run te corresponding spline pattern for the crank arms. You can get spiders with Profile or Azonic to run 1, 2, or 3 chainrings but with all the DH or FR cranksets available it would make more sense just to get a set of those. They for the most part are forged Cro-Mo and are typical to the BMX scene.
I just wish people would have listened to Mark and I years back when we said to all the DH guys just to run BMX stuff on their rigs but no one would listen then. Now look at the current DH and FR scene, using BMX stuff is becoming the norm.

Hunter, do you have a QBP catalogue handy. I have ordered a conversion kit for a customer. It's a reducer cup that presses into a BMX bottom bracket and is threaded on the "female" side to accept a standard catridge type bb.

I think it was about $50! This way you can use ANY cartridge type bb.

Let me do some searching.
