Well Kona showed off their '05 line up. Changing the name of the Stinky, adding 2" of travel to the top of the line Stinky and another inch to the Coiler. What are they thinking? Is not the Coiler supposed to be an all around trail bike for those who do not desire the longer travel? Do not get me wrong I am still a Kona fan but come on guys, not every one want a full blown freeride/dh rig to cruise around on the trail with.

I am not a fan of all the Kona line, they look cheap! JMHO.

Thats just dumb. I think Kona is forgetting that most people out there still ride their bikes uphill, and to my knowledge dont really feel like hauling around a 35lb coil sprung monster on their local XC trails

Let me guess, and every Trek looks like a million dollars. Don't knock them until you try one, never judge a bike by appearance, my bike which happens to be a Kona Stuff. Looks like the creature from the black lagoon but it has taken every shot I have given it. It broke me before I broke it. Is it the new lettering and all? I doubt that is the permanent lettering. Kona is not known for using shiny paint. Bikes don't need to be pretty, they have to be functional.

With the other post, Kona always introduces their freeride/dh bikes before their xc line up. Same with Rocky Mountain, Kona is more known for their freeride/dh bikes.

I' not a fan of the new lettering, but I am sure that they will be great bikes.

Peter, just to reiterate what konarider said. Kona always shows the prototypes (remember the ss dually last year) and freeride lineup first. The others will come.

I wonder if the lettering is a dedication of some kind to the military.
